Judith Monarrez received the miraculous news that her missing pet dog, Gizmo, had been found alive after nine years. Now 37, she earned a master’s degree and started a teaching career. When she received an email notification that Gizmo had been found and taken to an animal hospital, she was overcome with emotion.

Despite the changes, Monarrez knew immediately it was Gizmo when she saw him and he responded to his name.
