Six athletes with ties to Northern Nevada are representing the region in the Summer Olympics in Paris. The athletes include Luke Hobson, a Reno High alum competing in swimming events; Perris Benegas, a Reed High alum competing in freestyle BMX; Moez Echargui, a Nevada Wolf Pack alum competing in tennis; Gabby Williams, a Reed High alum playing basketball for Team France; Stephanie Rovetti, a Reno High alum competing in rugby; and Enkhkhuslen “Huska” Batbayar, who is committed to Nevada and competing in swimming.
