The Nye County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Blake Jones, a notorious criminal who has been involved in multiple high-speed chases and is facing several felonies. Sheriff Joe McGill describes Jones as a “thorn in our side” and warns that he poses a danger to the community.
Jones has a history of evading law enforcement and has previously escaped from deputies during pursuits. Sheriff McGill blames the revolving door of the justice system for allowing Jones to continue his criminal activities, as he has been in and out of jail multiple times.
The sheriff’s office has posted a photo of Jones on Facebook and is asking anyone who spots him to contact the Nye County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers. Sheriff McGill emphasizes that a cash reward may be available for information leading to Jones and assures that tipsters can remain anonymous.
Jones has been spotted around the Pahrump area, but due to limited availability, deputies have not always been able to apprehend him. Sheriff McGill urges the public to call 775-751-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 if they have any information on Jones’s whereabouts.
This article highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to capture a dangerous criminal and emphasizes the importance of community involvement in keeping neighborhoods safe.
