Hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg will carry the Olympic torch through the streets of Saint-Denis as it makes its way to the Eiffel Tower for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The torch was first lit in ancient Olympia, symbolizing peace and friendship among nations. After passing through Greece and various regions of France, Snoop will mark the 67th leg of the flame’s journey alongside French actress Laetitia Casta and rapper MC Solaar. The final torchbearer who will light the Olympic cauldron has yet to be revealed. Snoop will also serve as a special NBC Olympics correspondent for the Games. The Opening Ceremony will be broadcast on Peacock starting at 12 p.m. ET on July 26. Fans can follow every moment and medal of the Olympics on the streaming platform. Snoop expressed his excitement for the opportunity on Instagram with the caption “U gots to do it!!”. This unique choice of torchbearer adds a touch of celebrity flair to the traditional Olympic torch relay and showcases the diversity of talents involved in the event.
